We can't emphazise enough that the sooner you start SEO the better, however the crux of the matter is money. And although this may lose us business we believe that if your budget is limited and you can only afford one of SEO or Internet marketing, then you should probably choose internet marketing. If you can afford both then definitely do both as soon as possible. The sooner your website is optimized for the search engines and has an effective linking strategy the better.
